Plus/Delta Of My Self

The deltas that I have for myself are I feel I didn’t do well on either of my test. I feel I should have took more notes and paid more attention in tech class even though I already knew most of the material and the subjects that were taught in class. I feel I should have put more effort into my tech homework, waiting until the last minute to do the assigned homework was one of the reasons why I may get lower than a c in Tech. One more delta is that I feel in the last module I earned way too many infractions and need to do better to succeed in the program.

Pluses I have for myself are that I am getting better with my writing in Business communications class and getting even better over time. I'm very helpful in my tech class helping my colleagues understand what is what in tech class. Being caring in the whole community is improving even though i am a caring person as it is. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

Neighborhood Experience

Living In Daly City at a young age, the neighborhood taught me nothing because majority of the time I was in the house or in school. Despite how many of my classmates and associates were out getting into trouble, I was in the house learning and excelling on my computer skills from my grandmother, learning respect and discipline from my grandfather. Both of these people in my life were and still are big factors in my life. I would say at that time period of my life the neighborhood I was living in wasn’t an influence on me at all. The people that did it for me were my grandparents and their company that was around me.  Out of everybody they would have around me my godfather was another person was my godfather, he owned a locksmith shop in Daly City he taught me a lot about classic cars. My favorite car he had was a purple 280z, this was my favorite car because he taught me the almost everything  about this car later he taught me a lot about a 1955 Chevy bel-air, form the engine to the body to the interior. But really living in this neighborhood taught me to respect other people Race and origin. Going to elementary school in this neighborhood made me realize when I got older that I was fortunate to have what I had at that age.

Response to "The Poverty Business"

I feel it is sad how banks and lenders target vulnerable people or the less fortunate. What I have learned from this article is a majority of banks and lenders are out to get you for your money and keep you under the table with debt which leads to a perpetual cycle of debt. Banks and lenders in so many cases are a debt trap; they don't tell the person the interest rate they have signed their selves into. In the article woman named Roxanne Tsosie she bought a car totally on credit thinking she will only be paying $150 dollar monthly installments & agreed to pay 7,922 not knowing the interest rate was sky high 24.9%. Leading her to cancellation of the contract them getting the car back & them doing the same thing to someone else. Another case is the blue hippo case,Mr. Humphries broke his computer seen a blue hippo ad on TV called the number the lady on the phone signed him up for a new laptop. Blue hippo would debit his account for $124, & then would owe 17 payments of 71.98 dollars every other week. After a week from placing his order he realized that he would pay 1,347.66 Over nine months. Mr. Humphries called to cancel his order the first time he called they said it would be an additional 10 days to cancel. Then he called a second time they said 15 days. He talked to a phone rep the phone rep told him that blue hippo has a no refund policy meaning he lost 124 dollars and didn't get a computer. Situations like these make me feel bad because the banker/lender makes the contract sound so good if u haven't looked at it & understood what your reading putting people in financial strains & perpetual cycles of debt, I feel that in some cases the person might not have had the resources to understand what the contract was saying and many banks/lenders take advantage of people that don't know. These banks/lenders need to be put out of business Ephemeral and make way for the honest bankers & i fill banks should be made just for people to save money with no interest this is my response to "The Poverty Business" thank you for taking the time to read my blog.
